I have just seen the last Alien vs Predator movie and I am in a way dissapointed.

It really snapped my belief suspenders, which really ticked me off. The birth and growth rater of these aliens would really not make these creatures much of an opposition as they would grow old and die in a couple of days tops. In the original alien movie we could get the impression that the alien at least used a few days in the victims stomach/chest before it burst out of the chest. The victim even was awake a few hours it seems before he got killed by the baby alien.

But there is also other things that I find pretty unbelievable in this movie. Why the hell would the Predator use so much care to hide the presens of the alien and its victims, just to kill, skin and expose his human victim for all to find?

I wish that film makers at least could make some sense into this. As it stands now the aliens series has gone from being pretty good to just stupid.

This is my first blog ever. Honest, I must be the last person on this planet that uses a blog, other than my son that is, but then again he can’t write yet.

When I started this site I had some grand plan about starting a good Traveller community for those who really liked TNE either/or both rules and setting. I imagined it would be hard, but not this hard. However, I see from my visits in the log that there is quite some downloads during a month. The site stuff is pretty easy to get going. There is always someone who is looking for starship, adventure seeds or other stuff.

The forum on the other hand had a slow start. Almost one month went without much activity, then it started to pick up just to peter out to nothing. But I am not complaining. There is however a few good channels for traveller fans out there CotI and the TML comes to mind. However, I find TML being more noise than signal, and CotI is a dab too much CT oriented.

But I think the visits to Traveller Freeport shows that a TNE site has a right to live.

The big question will be - Will there be any future for Traveller and TNE when Moongoose releases their version of Traveller (from now on called MGT) and T5 arrives from FFE some time in the near future. Since GDW went down, the Traveller canon has been spread all over the board which has created several instances of contradictions in the canon history of Traveller. many may not care, but for those who wants to write for Traveller or likes to have a tidy and concise game may find this troublesome. Late comers may also experience confusion as old timers talk about their favourite rulesett or setting.

All we really can do is sit and wait and hope the two new editions that comes out really can unite the community, but I am afraid it is a little too late.

I think this will have to be enough for this time. Whatever is happening, keep those dice rolling and keep travelling.
